Please, dear Lord
I ask of thee
to help me fill the void...
There’s emptiness I feel inside
without my soul mate by my side.
There’s something missing
within me now,
something that won’t in me, subside,
A hollowness felt, deep down inside.
A feeling that won’t subside.
There’ something
that isn’t filling my soul right now,
I’m lacking the joy within.
Happiness is missing
deep in me
that comes with a soul mate true.
The yearning felt
so deep within
never seems to go away.
It’s something that I feel this day,
for now, it seems, like it’s here to stay,
Until the time
when things can change
and somehow, be rearranged.
I must hang on, in this life of mine,
Till the day has come
and I have my soul mate
by my side.
