It could be a perfect world if:
There were no misunderstandings.
If people wouldn’t take each other wrong -
If one could be kind to another - male or female,
and not have their pure intent taken wrong. -
If people could look with loving eyes to everyone
they met,
and
the other would know they have a
Christ-like love
for them, that is all. -
If people could really be genuine
and true all the time, and
not be afraid to show how much they care,
without being taken wrong. -
If one could call up anyone and say,
hey,
I’m thinking of you,
and have a great day,
and not be taken wrong. -
If one
could give someone a hug of appreciation
for a kindness
given them,
be it girl or guy -
and not be taken the wrong way -
If we could all be more Christ-like
and could express our love to others
like He did,
there’d be less loneliness
all around us.
This could be a perfect world
if people weren’t so caught up in worrying
about what someone else would think
if we did a kindness to even
someone who wasn’t close to us.
If we’d be more in tune to others and how they feel,
we could make a difference
in someone‘s day, in someone‘s life.
If one could
be kind to another
without having their true heartfelt intent -
taken wrong.
If we could really be in tune to others,
as we speak - and notice what they’re
really saying inside.
If we could be a more loving people and
genuinely love another in a Christ- like way.
If we could learn from other cultures
and incorporate their positive ways,
our lives would be better.
If we would not be afraid to put our arm
around a friend in need and say,
I’m here for you; I’m listening to your plea.
If we could truly love another
and not be afraid to tell them those 3 simple
words:
“I love you,”
any time, and make someone’s day.
If we could say those words,
to someone without being taken the wrong
way,
and know that it was meant to be taken
Christ-like, this world
would be a better place.
If people wouldn’t misunderstand your real intent
at all, and know that
you’re a Christ-like friend,
who loves them in a Christ-like way,
then this world would be a better place to live.
This world would be a better place if we would try to exemplify Christ’s life.
