How do I feel as though
I’ve always known you?
It’s as if I met you
long before this life began.
How can it be that
it’s as if I’ve known you
thru Eternity?
When I look in your eyes
I realize - that when we talk
it’s like we’re just continuing on
our conversation that we once left off.
We just continue on as if
we’ve known each other
from a time ago.
I’ve seen you twice now
in twenty years,
and it’s as if time
has been the only space between us.
Now, go away and stay away,
because there’s something inside of me
that just yearns for many things
that it cannot have, now.
I’ve known you through Eternity
For my “spirit” confirms this to me.
I’ve known you, through Eternity,
why does it seem like this to me?
And sometimes, when I realize
I see you there before my eyes
I’ve known you through Eternity
Why do you, mean so much to me?
Right here, I’ve hardly known you long,
Yet, it seems like it doesn’t change the song
Cause what I feel inside me now
just seems to linger on somehow
There’s something mystical to me
about this feeling inside me
I don’t know why I know these things
I simply feel these things, you see,
Eternity seems so long ago
and yet, I know it is not so
for it is so close to us, somehow
for it is neared than we know
Yes, it is closer than He’ll bestow
I’ve known you through Eternity,
I’ve seen you standing next to me
Why is it that I know these things?
I simply feel these things, you see!
I’ve known you, through Eternity.
